I bought a skateboard because I thought it would be nice to bounce around my one square mile in downtown Los Angeles. But to take on all the traffic and the cracks and curbs of the sidewalks, I have to get better. Getting better means falling.

A chameleon, or social chameleon, is someone who fits in and generally gets along with all kinds of folks. They were able to bounce around to different cliques in High School, getting along great with the freaks and the geeks, and they were able to parlay that ability into adult life, college, and business.

Logic Alignment

Aligning logic refers to the process by which I complete a task, get feedback from my colleagues or supervisor, then incorporate that feedback into the original task. The time it takes to successfully complete this loop will shrink over time as I learn to anticipate my colleague’s feedback and generally get better at the process.

I watched Mark Yegge’s TEDxUF Talk called Executing Your Ideas for graduate school. In the video, he talks about the importance of sharing your ideas. Mark Yegge said: “If you’re not going to tell anyone your idea, then there is no way you can ever really implement it.”
